Mr. Julio Kunda Muya, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a civil servant at the Department of Multilateral and Regional Trade Agreements of the Ministry of Foreign Trade. His responsibilities include advising his government on WTO and international trade law. Mr. Kunda Muya represented his country at the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference in Geneva and also represents his country before various international and regional organizations, including the WTO, UNCTAD, UNCITRAL, and SADC.

Mr. Kunda Muya holds a Master’s degree in Global ICT Policy from PUSAN National University in South Korea, an Executive Master diploma and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Trade Policy and international trade law from the African Trade Policy Training Center (TRAPCA) in Arusha (Tanzania) and Lund University in Sweden and a Licence degree in applied computing from the higher institute of computer sciences, programming and analysis in Kinshasa (DR Congo). He also holds diplomas and certificates in trade law and policy from a range of institutions, including the WTO Institute for Training and Technical Cooperation, the Clingendael Institute (the Netherlands Institute of International Relations), the World Trade Institute at the University of Bern, and the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning.  Lastly, Mr. Kunda Muya also holds a certificate of Advanced Studies in Public Governance and Administration from the Swiss School of Public Governance, ETH Zurich.
