Ms Mamonaheng Agnes Faleng, from Lesotho, is a Legal Officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Business Development and Tourism. Her responsibilities include advising on WTO compliance, trade policy, international trade law and other trade-related matters, as well as negotiating the legal, institutional, and dispute settlement chapters of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements and protocols under the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement.
Ms Faleng holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the National University of Lesotho and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Commercial and Business Law from Bangor University United Kingdom (on a Chevening Scholarship). She has also successfully completed several short-term training courses on trade policy, dispute settlement, and multilateral trade negotiations conducted by the WTO, UNCTAD, AU, SACU, and other agencies.
