Ms. Malwina Kopytek joined the ACWL as Counsel in 2025. She advises developing country Members and least-developed countries on issues of WTO law and represents them in dispute settlement proceedings before the WTO.

Before joining the ACWL, Ms. Kopytek served as a Legal Officer in the Office of the Legal Counsel at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), where she advised on public international law, treaty interpretation, and privileges and immunities. At WIPO, she participated in two Diplomatic Conferences, which gave her a first-hand exposure to international treaty making and negotiations. She previously gained experience in international economic law at the World Trade Organization (Accessions Division) and as an intern at the European Union Permanent Mission to the WTO.  Earlier in her career, she worked with the US House of Representatives, the Court of Appeal of England and Wales, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

Ms Kopytek holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Law (summa cum laude) from the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (with a specialisation in International Economic Law).  She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2023.

She is fluent in English and French, a native speaker of Polish, and speaks intermediate Spanish.
