Ms Kadijatu Zainab Bangura, from Sierra Leone, is a State Counsel at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Sierra Leone. From 2012-2019, she served in the Law Officers Department of the Ministry of Justice and Office of the Attorney-General (Sierra Leone) as State Counsel. Her responsibilities included providing legal advisory opinions to Ministries and Government Agencies, the review of contracts and memoranda of understandings, as well as representing the government’s interests in domestic legal proceedings.
Ms Bangura holds an LL.B (with Honors) degree from the Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, and recently completed a Master’s degree in Global Legal Studies at Maynooth University (Ireland). She has also participated in the United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa (RCIL Africa) organized by the United Nations, in 2015.
