The ACWL is pleased to announce the launch of its 20th annual training course and looks forward to welcoming former and new participants. This year’s course will focus on the basic principles of WTO law. Please see below the proposed programme for the course.
The course will start on Thursday, 14 October 2021 and end on 9 June 2022. The course is designed for government officials from ACWL developing country Members and from the least-developed countries, particularly those delegates whose functions involve the legal aspects of trade policy. The lecturers will be the Executive Director and the lawyers of the ACWL.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing difficulties caused by the COVID situation, we plan to begin the course virtually, using Zoom. We will continue to review the situation in the light of WTO/Swiss COVID protocols and our own capacity constraints. We will try to resume conducting the course in person, at least partially, as soon as possible.
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants that attend a sufficient number of sessions. In addition, we will offer an optional exam at the end of the course. Successful candidates will obtain a Certificate of Achievement.
Interested officials of ACWL developing country Members and LDCs should complete the registration form (with a photo) and send it by email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, 8 October 2021.
If you have questions or suggestions regarding this course, please contact our secretariat at email@example.com.
