On 18 March 2010, the ACWL completed its eighth annual training course. 29 of the 35 Geneva-based delegates who attended regular sessions received the ACWL's Certificate of Training. Among them were 6 delegates from the least developed countries.
The ACWL's Training Programme is divided into three annual courses each covering different aspects of WTO law and procedure. The recently completed course focused on basic principles of WTO law. As part of the course, participants engaged in a moot court simulation of a dispute settlement panel proceeding.
The next ACWL training course will start in October 2010 and will focus on the WTO agreements relating to trade remedies, trade in services and trade-related intellectual property rights.
