22 Geneva-based delegates awarded the ACWL's Certificate of Training

22 Geneva-based delegates participating in the ACWL Training Programme on WTO Dispute Settlement Procedures received a Certificate of Training in March 2006.

The training programme was conducted at the ACWL's premises on Thursdays from 13:00 to 14:45 from October 2005 to March 2006.

The training programme was the fourth in a series of lunch-time training courses offered by the ACWL. The sessions, which covered various topics such as panel, Appellate Body and implementation proceedings, were presented by the Executive Director and other lawyers at the ACWL. This year, the ACWL conducted a moot court simulation over two sessions on the European Communities – Continued Suspension of Obligations in the EC-Hormones case (DS320) with the active participation of the delegates who were divided into teams representing the European Communities, the United States as well as the panellists. The next training programme will cover basic principles in WTO law through a detailed review of the most important rulings of WTO panels and the Appellate Body jurisprudence and will start in mid-October 2006.
