24 delegates receive Certificate of Training from the ACWL

On 25 March 2004, 24 participants in the ACWL Course on WTO Jurisprudence received a Certificate of Training. Two of these participants were from least developed countries and two were from developing countries that are not ACWL Members.

This course was conducted on a weekly basis over a six-month period from October 2003 to March 2004 and focussed on the basic principles of WTO law through a detailed review of the most important rulings of WTO panels and the Appellate Body.

In April 2003, the Centre completed its first course on WTO dispute settlement procedures. 22 delegates were awarded the Centre's Certificate of Training at that time.

The ACWL's training courses are conducted at the premises of the Centre on Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. from October to March of the following year. The courses are taught by the Executive Director and other lawyers at the ACWL, with occasional guest speakers.
